Confessional and Underrated Actors #5!!

There's something I have to tell you.

"I have a confession." That's how I wanted to start this post, but I can't. Saying that I have a confession sounds almost like I'm ashamed of what I want to disclose to you all and I'm not. I'm not ashamed at all. Anways. Here we go:

I can't stand Denzel Washington.

I don't find him to be a fabulous actor. I don't find him to be dreamy man meat. I don't trust anything he tells me and I certainly don't think he has kind eyes. I know that just pissed off lots of people. My bff and hubby both love Denzel. I just, personally, don't find him to be that watchable. He doesn't excite me or entrance me. He's just... eh. I'm not disputing that he's a good actor. Clearly with 2 Oscar wins and 5 nominations he's an outstanding actor and a shit ton of people love him. I'm just not one of those.

I personally think that every time there's a movie script that the studios want to pitch to Denzel they should take a moment. Rethink. And call Dennis Haysbert.

That's right. Today's edition of Underrated Actors brings you Dennis Haysbert!

I believe anything he tells me.
You may know him as the Allstate man. I can state for fact that Dennis is a great actor. I believe everything he tells me. He's got kind eyes so you know you can trust him. It's a shame he can't seem to break off of tv and into the movies. He is listed as having a few things in the works on IMDB. I know him best from The Unit (a fabulous show with an amazing cast that the writers seemed to not know what to do with after season 3) and as the President in 24. I'm just saying, if this man's name was on the real presidential ballot in November I'd totally vote for him.

  2. Denzel! I'm not a huge fan, but I respect his acting ability a ton.

However, I acn't stand Dennis Haysbert. I'm sorry! He irritates me. Especially those allstate commercials!

  3. It's so funny how people perceive different actors/actresses. Actually, not just actors/actresses, but everyone. I am on the Denzel side, myself. Everyone has different opinions on every single thing. How boring would it be if we didn't?
