C is for Candy from a Baby

You know that old saying "it was as easy as taking candy from a baby"? I have some issues with this.

For one, taking anything from a child to have for yourself is a bastard move. If you are removing it from the child for their own safety, then that's another thing entirely. For instance, if you took a lifesaver from a baby because the baby could choke on it then you are a good human. If you took the candy because it was lime and lime is your favorite, there's a special place in hell for you.

Another thing, have you ever seen a kid eat candy? The drool, the snot, the germs that children are naturally infested with? Do you really want that particular piece of candy? They've probably dropped it on the floor at least once too, more than likely twice. So you want that lint covered, germ infested, snot drenched candy for yourself do you?

Then you probably deserve it. Go for it. Eat that candy you ass.

  1. with the obesity crisis you could argue that taking candy from a baby is justified...as long as you swap it for a carrot or something healthy...

  2. Yep, I'm with G - give the baby a carrot or an apple to start with - then there's no issue.

  3. Good luck getting ANYTHING from a baby! :)
