What to do on a 3 day weekend?

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day. That means for an Office Drone like me, that I get a nice long weekend. There's nothing more that an Office Drone looks forward to than a 3 day weekend. There's so much a person can do with an extra day! The choices are endless really. So I need to narrow down the options and figure out what I'm going to fill my weekend with.

I could bake! I love to bake, it's one of my favorite things to do. Starting out with all the ingredients there on the counter in front of me and then mixing them all together and making a tasty treat is such a rush for me! It's a great stress reliever and a good creative outlet. Not the mention the satisfaction deep inside my soul when some is made happier by a treat I have created.

I can clean! I can do laundry. I could dust. I could catch up on all the things I've been letting slide by until later. This would make my husband a very happy man. I could be the worlds best Betty Homemaker! I could put on a dress, slide on some heels, do my hair and makeup and get out my pearls to vacuum! Just like Donna Reed! Not to mention have dinner on the table by 6:00!

I can spent quality time with my husband and play some of those video games that his friend gave to us. I'm a girl, but boy do I love to throw down on some video games from time to time. I'm more old school Mario, but I'm willing to learn something new. That would maybe score some points with the husband too. Guys like that type of thing right? A woman that loves video games as much as they do?

Since I'm 28, a mere few months away from 29 that means I'm old. I've been in bed by 9:30 most nights here lately and am just constantly sleepy. I'm thinking that more than likely my weekend will be me in bed. I'm sure I'll play some video games with the hubby, but I'm not sure what else will actually get done. I'm sure nothing productive. Oh yeah, I'll try to talk him into some take out. Lots of take out.

  1. I'm not going to lie. Housecleaning sounds like no fun on a holiday weekend, even though I know it's got to get done. Best of luck and have a great weekend!
